What Is Vocational Education Training?
Vocational education refers to the training which prepares students to take up specific trades or vocations, which are considered non-academic. Vocationsl education is also referred to as technical education. Vocational education is usually secondary or post-secondary education. Vocational education is usually provided by an institute of techonology such as the Colorado Technical University.
Why Is Vocational Education So Important Now?
Vocational education is becoming more important as jobs become more specialized and demand more skills from workers. Businesses are also investing in vocational education through publicly funded training organisations and subsidised apprenticeships.

Vocational education now is available in as diverse industries as retail, information technology, tourism, funeral services and in the traditional crafts and cottage industries.
